Jordan's government described the attackers as unknown assailants and said investigations were moving ahead at full speed. It did not immediately confirm whether any suspects had been arrested or killed. Footage aired by Jordanian state television showed two men appearing to carry pistols approaching the church and firing shots. A third man, apparently carrying a semi-automatic rifle, then approached and opened fire before all three ran towards the building.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Alaska on Thursday, argues that the state must protect the integrity of federal elections. Police arrested the suspect less than 20 minutes after the shooting began.

The White House said the changes would remove tariffs on certain products, including "plywood sheets, some paper products, certain machinery and refrigeration equipment". However, the administration will also introduce tariffs on other goods, including carpets, certain valves and waste products. The new measures will take effect on October 30.
